This Weekend’s Events
There will be three record conventions and two comicons this weekend, all of which will be in Ontario.
The Ottawa Record Fair will be back at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre this Saturday, the 4th of October 2025, from 11am to 4pm and admission will be $5 or $10 for early admission at 10am.
The nearest bus stops to this downtown venue are numbers 1902 and 2487, which are serviced by multiple major routes on OC Transpo.

The Cobourg Comicon will also be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 but at the Cobourg Community Centre from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
Although public transit is only limited to an On Demand Service in this small community, the venue does have its own stop and is still within a 3 minute taxi drive away from this community’s Via Rail station. But note that the On Demand service’s last booking is at 6:30pm on Saturdays. And please note that there is also another event in this community, on Sunday and listed at the end of this blog entry.

The Guelph Record Show will be hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion from 10:30am to 4pm on Sunday, the 5th of September, 2025 and admission will be $5 or $20 for early entry at 9am.
This venue’s bus stop number is 419, which is serviced by Route 4 on Guelph Transit.

The Aurora Comicon will also be held at a Royal Canadian Legion branch on Sunday, this time is the GTA suburb of Aurora from 10am to 4pm, and admissions will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
The nearest bus stops, numbers 1756 and 1758, are a seven walk away on Wellington and are serviced by multiple routes on York Regional Transit.

And finally, the Cobourg Record Show will be held at Order of Odd Fellows hall on Sunday, the 5th of October, 2025, from 11am to 4pm and admission will be a donation.
The venue is a five minute walk away from Hardey’s, an On Demand stop on Cobourg Transit, and a two minute Taxi drive from the Cobourg Via Rail station. And please note that the aforementioned on demand service’s last booking is at 3:30pm on Sundays.

Multiples Events This Weekend
There will be five record collector events and two comicons this weekend in Ontario.
The Sudbury Music & Collectables Show, will occur at the Days Inn By Wyndham Sudbury and Conference Centre on the 27th of September, 2025 from 10am to 3pm, with early admission at 9am for $10.
General admission after 10am is $5 and the venue is a 10 minute walk away from the Via Rail station and Sudbury Community Arena, which is serviced by multiple routes on Sudbury Transit.

The Kingston Comicon will be hosted by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 from 10am to 3pm on September 27th, 2025 and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
The nearest bus sups to the venue are serviced by Routes 1 and 802 Express on Kingston Transit.

The Fort Erie Record Show will be held at Sessions on the River on September 27th, 2025 from 10 am to 3pm and admission is a $3 donation to cope or free entry for kids.
The venue is serviced by On Demand services provided by Microtransit.

The Georgian Bay Fancon will occur on the 27th of September, 2025 at the Meaford and St.Vincent Community Centre from 10am to 4pm and tickets are $10 for adults and kids over 13, $5 for kids aged 6 to 12 or free for kids under 6.

And although transit is not available to the general public in this community, residents of Meaford with a disability or mobility issue can obtain on demand service to the venue from Meaford Moves+. Please note that this is a Flixbus stop in this community but it is a 14 minute walk from the venue.

A free, large private record sale will be held from 10am to 3pm on the 17th and 18 of September, 2025 at 90 Vanzant Court in Stouffville, Ontario and yes, this is public transit service to this community.
The nearest bus stops to the residence in question are 5188 and 7275, both of which are serviced by Route 009 on York Regional Transit and are a six minutes walk away. And there is a GO Transit stop east of this private residence, serviced by Routes 70 and 71.

The North Bay Record Show will be held on Sunday, the 28th of September 2025 at the North Bay Elk’s Lodge No 25 from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or $10 for early admission at 9am.
The venue and by two nearby bus stops which are service by Route 3 and 7 on North Bay Transit.

The St. Thomas Record Show will also occur on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 from 10am to 3pm but at The Back Alley Bar & Grill and admission will be a donation to a local charity.
This venue is serviced by Route 3 on Local Motion from Talbot Street, which is one street over from the venue.

Two Comicons This Weekend
The first is a two day event, the London Comic Con, which will be held on the 13th and 14th of September, 2025 at RBC London Place.

The second is a one day event, The Belleville Comicon, at the Quinton Curling Club on Saturday, the 13th of September 2025.
Admission is $5 or free for kids 12 and under. And multiple routes on Belleville Transit converge at the corner of Sidney Street and Bridge Street West, which is a three minute walk east from the venue.

This Weekend’s Events
There will be three events this weekend, two of which will be comicons, and one will be a record convention:
The first event of the weekend, Fan Expo 2025, will begin tomorrow and end on Sunday at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

The next event will be the Stratford Record Show on Sunday, the 24th of August, 2025 at The Army Navy Hall from 10am to 3pm. And admission will be a donation to the Stratford-Perth Humane Society.
The venue is serviced by on demand transit by Stratford Transit and is a four minute taxi drive from the city’s VIA Rail Station.

The last event of the weekend will be the Westcoast Comicon which will be held at the Maritime Labour Center from 11am to 5pm on the 24th of August, 2025. And admission is $15 or free for kids 12 and under.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are 50435 and 50496, which are serviced by multiple routes on Translink.

Two Record Conventions and One Comicon
There will be two free record conventions in the Toronto Area, one comicon in Belleville, and all of this weekend’s events will be occurring on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025:
The Outdoor Record Show will be held at the Tranzac Club from 9am to 1pm and admission will be free.
This venue is a seven minute walk from either the Bathurst Subway Station or Spadina Subway Station and it is also a minute away from bus stop numbers 498 and 499, whose busses also service the 511 streetcar on Bathurst via stops 96 and 15518.

The Bowmanvillle CD and Record Show will be hosted by the Memorial Park Clubhouse from 10am to 4pm and this is also a free event.
The nearest bus stop to the venue, stop number 1499, is an eight minute walk away. And it is serviced by Route 902 on Durham Region Transit, whose site does have a trip planner.

The Belleville Comicon will be held at the Quinte Curling Club from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
A bus stop serviced by Route 8 on Belleville Transit is across the street from the venue.

Multiple Major Events This Weekend
There are lots of record conventions and comicons, from coast to coast:
The Sudbury Music & Collectables Show will be held on Saturday, the 24th of May, 2025 from 10am to 3pm at the Northbury Hotel.
Admission will be $5 or $10 for early admission at 9am. The venue is a 12 minute walk from the Via Rail station, which is serviced by multiple routes on Greater Sudbury Transit. Note that a pedestrian tunnel near these bus stops facilitate access to Riverside Drive and the venue.

The Capital Comic Book Convention will be also be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 but from 11am to 4pm at the RA Center in Ottawa.

And the nearest bus stops from the venue, bus stop numbers 1152 and 1567, is a 6 minute walk away and serviced by a multiple of routes on OC Transpo because these stops are next to Billings Bridge Transitway Station.

The Trenton Comicon will be held on Saturday, the 24th of May at the Trenton Curling Club from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
This venue has its own bus stop, 107, and is service by Route B on Quinte Transit, which also provides Rides on Demand.

The spring version of Record Fair NL will be held at the St.John’s Farmers Market from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, the 25th of May, 2025.
Admission will be $2 per person or free for kids 12 and under. And Bus Stops next to the venue, 2780 and 3080, are serviced by Routes 10 and 12 on Metrobus

The Boogie Record Fair & Market hosted by Boogie on Queen in Toronto will also be held on Sunday, the 25th of May, 2025 but from 1pm to 5pm. And it will be a free event.
This venue is serviced by streetcar routes 301 and 501 on the TTC via stop numbers 6838 and 15348.

The MacKinnon Brothers Vinyl Record Market will also be a free event on Sunday, May 25th, 2025, which will be held at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewery from 1pm to 4pm.
This venue I unfortunately isolated in a rural area that does not have public transit.

The North Bay Record Show will be held on Sunday, the 25th, of May 2025 at the Elk’s Lodge from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or $10 for early entry at 9am.
The venue had its own bus stops, which is serviced by Routes 3, 5 and 7 on North Bay Transit. And the North Bay Train Station and Bus Terminal is a five minute walk from the venue.

The Vancouver Vinyl Record Show will also be held on Sunday, the 25th of May, 2025 from 11am to 4pm at the Heritage Hall. And admission will be $5, cash.
