One Record Show But Four Comicon & More

Although there will only be one record show this weekend, there will be four comicons and a collectibles show. And two of these events will be weekend long.

The first three day event will be Y-CON at the Yarmouth Mariners Center from May 30th to June 1st, 2025.

Ticket information can be found by clicking here. And the nearest bus stop is a two minute walk away at the Canadian Tire and although the town’s transit services are free they do not operate on Sundays.

The second three day event, also occurring from May 30th to June 1st, will be the Niagara Falls Comic Con at the Niagara Falls Convention Center.

The Oshawa Comicon will be held on the 31st of May, 2025 from 10am to 3pm at YWCA Durham and admission will be $5 or free kids 12 and under.

The venue is serviced by route 901 on Durham Regional Transit via bus stop number 661 which is a five minute walk away.

The SJFM Vintage and Collectibles Market will be hosted by the St. Johns’ Farmers Market on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 from 8:30am to 1:30pm and this event is free.

This venue has its own bus stops, numbered 2780 and 3080, which are serviced by Routes 10 and 12 on Metrobus.

The Peterborough Comicon will be held at the Peterborough Curling Club on the 1st of July, 2025, from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free kids 12 and under.

Unfortunately the nearest bus stops from this venue, 1302 and 1600, are a 15 minute walk away. But Route 7 does operate on Sundays on Peterborough Transit.

And finally, The Junction Steel Wheels Record Show will be held on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 at Rainhard Brewing from 1pm to 5pm. And admission will be $5 or $10 for early entry at noon.

This venue is a ten minute walk away from the Gunns Loop where TTC Streetcars terminate.

Multiple Major Events This Weekend

There are lots of record conventions and comicons, from coast to coast:

The Sudbury Music & Collectables Show will be held on Saturday, the 24th of May, 2025 from 10am to 3pm at the Northbury Hotel.

Admission will be $5 or $10 for early admission at 9am. The venue is a 12 minute walk from the Via Rail station, which is serviced by multiple routes on Greater Sudbury Transit. Note that a pedestrian tunnel near these bus stops facilitate access to Riverside Drive and the venue.

The Capital Comic Book Convention will be also be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 but from 11am to 4pm at the RA Center in Ottawa.

Admission details can be found by clicking here, as well as information about VIP Early Entry (at 10am). And the nearest bus stops from the venue, bus stop numbers 1152 and 1567, is a 6 minute walk away and serviced by a multiple of routes on OC Transpo because these stops are next to Billings Bridge Transitway Station.

The Trenton Comicon will be held on Saturday, the 24th of May at the Trenton Curling Club from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.

This venue has its own bus stop, 107, and is service by Route B on Quinte Transit, which also provides Rides on Demand.

The spring version of Record Fair NL will be held at the St.John’s Farmers Market from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, the 25th of May, 2025.

Admission will be $2 per person or free for kids 12 and under. And Bus Stops next to the venue, 2780 and 3080, are serviced by Routes 10 and 12 on Metrobus

The Boogie Record Fair & Market hosted by Boogie on Queen in Toronto will also be held on Sunday, the 25th of May, 2025 but from 1pm to 5pm. And it will be a free event.

This venue is serviced by streetcar routes 301 and 501 on the TTC via stop numbers 6838 and 15348.

The MacKinnon Brothers Vinyl Record Market will also be a free event on Sunday, May 25th, 2025, which will be held at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewery from 1pm to 4pm.

This venue I unfortunately isolated in a rural area that does not have public transit.

The North Bay Record Show will be held on Sunday, the 25th, of May 2025 at the Elk’s Lodge from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or $10 for early entry at 9am.

The venue had its own bus stops, which is serviced by Routes 3, 5 and 7 on North Bay Transit. And the North Bay Train Station and Bus Terminal is a five minute walk from the venue.

The Vancouver Vinyl Record Show will also be held on Sunday, the 25th of May, 2025 from 11am to 4pm at the Heritage Hall. And admission will be $5, cash.

This venue is serviced by Route 003 on Translink via stop numbers 50241 and 59581.

Lions Vinyl Record Fair / St. John’s

The Lions Vinyl Record Fair will be hosted by the St John’s Lions Club in St. John’s, Newfoundland on Sunday the 12th of January, 2025 from 11AM to 4PM.

Admission is $2 cash at the door and the nearest bus stop is bus stop number 6186, which is serviced by Route 15 on Metrobus.

Lots of Events This Weekend

This weekend will be great for record shopping road trips in Ontario and Newfoundland, and i’ve also added three Ontario comic conventions that collectors may want to check out for film, television and music memorabilia:

Starting on Saturday, the 25th of May 2024, The North Bay Record Show will be held at the Elks Lodge from 10am to 3pm and admission with be $5 or $10 for early admission at 9am.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 1022 and 1147 and those stops are serviced by Route 5 on North Bay Transit.

The Stratford Comicon will be occurring this Saturday at the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 with free admission for kids 12 and under.

This venue is served by on demand transit. Please consult City of Stratford Transit for details.

A Vinyl Pop Up will also be occurring in Hamilton, Ontario on the same day at Door’s Pub from 2pm to 7pm and admission for this event will be free.

The nearest bus stop to the venue is stop number 1009 , which is serviced by multiple routes on HSR.

The next record convention will occur the following day, on Sunday, May 26th 2024 on the east coast, in St.John’s Newfoundland – Record Fair NL will be held from 10am to 4 pm at the St.John’s Farmer Market and admission will be $2 or free for kids 12 and under.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 2780 and 3080, which are serviced by Route 12 on Metrobus.

Another vinyl pop up with free admission will occur at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewery in Bath, Ontario, this time on Sunday, the 26th of May 2024, from 10am to 4pm.

This area is unfortunately not serviced by transit.

The Ajax Comicon will be held at the Ajax Community Center from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, the 26th of May 2024 and admission will be $5 (or free for kids 12 and under).

This venue is serviced by bus numbers 2070 and 2079, by route 224 on Durham Regional Transit.

Also on Sunday, the Pop Up Record Show in Burlington, Ontario will be held at the Halton Naval Veterans, from 10am to 3pm and admission will be a donation to the venue itself.

The nearest bus stops to this event are bus stop numbers 204 and 207, which are serviced by routes 3 and 6 on Burlington Transit.

The Capital Comic Book Convention will be hosted by the RA Center in Ottawa on Sunday, from 11am to 4pm and admission at the door is $8 (or $12 VIP) and kids 12 and under get in free.

Multiple major OC Transpo bus routes service the area and the nearest bus stops to this venue are numbers 1152 and 1567, which are a five minute walk away.

And last but not least, the Sudbury Music & Collectibles Show will also occur on Sunday, the 26th of May 2024 at the Northbury Hotel & Conference Center from 10am to 3pm.

Admission will be $5 (or $10 for early admission) and it appears the nearest, safest bus stops are on Riverside Drive and serviced by Routes 3 and 14 by GOVA.

Note that cash may be preferred at some of these event so make you to look for an ATM and some of the venues.

Record Conventions This Weekend

There will be three conventions on Sunday, the 5th of November 2023, two of which will be in Ontario whilst the third will be in Newfoundland.

The first will be the Windsor Record Show at the Dominion House Tavern from 10am to 3pm.

Admission will be a $2 donation to TLC Animal Relief and the nearest bus stops are numbers 1074 and 1075. Contact Transit Windsor for additional information.

The St. Catharines Record Show will be hosted at the Grantham Optimists Youth Centre from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Admission will be $5 and the nearest bus stops are 303 and 306. Contact Niagara Regional Transit for details.

The Record Fair NL Fall 2023 in St.Johns, Newfoundland will be at the St.John’s Farmer Market from 10am to 4pm.

Admission will be $2 and the nearest bus stops, 2780 and 3080, are next to the venue. Consult Metrobus for details.

Record Conventions This Weekend

There will be four record convention this weekend, in Newfoundland, Ontario and British Columbia.

Starting East to West, the first convention will be on May 38th in St.John’s, Newfoundland from 8:30pm to 2:30pm at the St.John’s Farmers Market, at 245 Freshwater Road.

Admission for the St.John’s Record Fair with be $2 (or free for kids under 12) and the nearest bus stops are #2780 and #3080, facing the venue on Freshwater Road.

The next convention with occur on the same day in Peterborough, Ontario from 10am to 3pm at the StoneHouse Hall at 2195 Lansdowne Street.

Admission for the Peterborough-Kawartha Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be $4 and unfortunately there is no public transit in the area. The nearest bus stops are a 17 minute walk away at Dobbins and Landsdowne (Bus Stops #1302/#1600)

Another record convention will be occurring in Ontario on that day as well, this time in Bath at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company at 1915 County 22 Road from 10am to 4pm.

Admission at this venue will be free and the venue is also hosting an “old fashioned BBQ”.

On the west coast, the Vancouver Vinyl Record Show will be hosted at the Heritage Hall at 3102 Main St. from 11am to 4pm.

Admission with be $5 and the nearest bus stops to the venue are Bus Stops #50241 and #59581.
