{"id":1200,"date":"2011-05-26T07:00:47","date_gmt":"2011-05-26T11:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.musicbymailcanada.com\/blog\/?p=1200"},"modified":"2011-05-26T07:00:47","modified_gmt":"2011-05-26T11:00:47","slug":"bc-voters-asked-to-keep-reduced-hst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicbymailcanada.com\/blog\/?p=1200","title":{"rendered":"BC Voters Asked To Keep Reduced HST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British Columbia residents are being asked to vote for the <strong>Harmonised Sales Tax<\/strong> during a referendum. <\/p>\n<p>The BC provincial government is hoping that a promise to reduce to tax to 10% by 2014 will result in a vote for the unpopular 12% tax on goods and services in that province<\/p>\n<p>The first 1% reduction would be scheduled for Canada Day, 2012, conditional of course on the re-election of the provincial Liberal Party into office.
