But this signal will be replaced by a digital signal that most LCD, LED and plasma televisions are ready to receive via antenna. Most other televisions will require a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.ca%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26redirect%3Dtrue%26ref_%3Dsr_nr_i_0%26keywords%3Ddigital%2520to%2520analog%2520converter%2520box%26qid%3D1309596867%26rh%3Dk%253Adigital%2520to%2520analog%2520converter%2520box%252Ci%253Aelectronics%23&#038;tag=musicbymailca-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=15121&#038;creative=390961\" target=\"new\">digital to analog converter box<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.ca\/e\/ir?t=musicbymailca-20&#038;l=ur2&#038;o=15\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> to receive off the air television signals.<\/p>\n<p>Of course those of you who subscribe to cable, satellite and IPTV services will not need to do a thing. But on September 1st, 2011 you may have this additional option, depending on <a href=\"http:\/\/digitaltv.gc.ca\/eng\/1298400341461\/1298649022433\" target=\"new\">where you live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve dropped my extra outlets and have hooked up several televisions to an antenna, saving $7 in fees per month. And from the information gathered from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvfool.com\/index.php?option=com_wrapper&#038;Itemid=90\" target=\"new\">TV Fool<\/a>, it appears that I should get all but one or two of my local channels after the transition, which will probably come in if I invest in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/gp\/product\/B0007MXZB2\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=musicbymailca-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=15121&#038;creative=390961&#038;creativeASIN=B0007MXZB2\" target=\"new\">Terk antenna<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.ca\/e\/ir?t=&#038;l=as2&#038;o=15&#038;a=B0007MXZB2\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> i&#8217;m eyeing.<\/p>\n<p>Those who have or are able to erect an antenna outside will probably have the best luck getting the further transmissions. But i&#8217;m also considering an attic installation myself, to get all the local stations and possibly <strong>PBS<\/strong> from Norwood, NY. <\/p>\n<p>I managed to get the latter with an indoor antenna last summer for a few days and i&#8217;m hoping to get it more regularly. <\/p>\n<p>I will of course be doing quite a large amount of experimenting in the last few days of August.
