But one of these theaters may close on December 31st, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The World Exchange Plaza location\u2019s lease is expiring on that date and the mall\u2019s owners has plans for the space according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/ottawa\/last-downtown-multiplex-theatre-to-close-1.1407224\" target=\"_blank\">CBC Television<\/a>, although negotiations are still underway.<\/p>\n<p>The former Empire locations in Kanata and Orleans had been originally slated to be converted into Cineplex Theaters.
