{"id":6223,"date":"2022-08-29T21:38:19","date_gmt":"2022-08-30T01:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musicbymailcanada.com\/blog\/?p=6223"},"modified":"2022-09-03T18:09:48","modified_gmt":"2022-09-03T22:09:48","slug":"a-very-quiet-month-but","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicbymailcanada.com\/blog\/?p=6223","title":{"rendered":"A very quiet month but&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As you can see there wasn&#8217;t much to talk about this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concerts and record conventions are back on, so it should pick up in fall:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>Bowmanville CD and Record Show<\/strong> is scheduled for Sunday, September 11th at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/q9uAFxHqQ25JJWU19\" target=\"_blank\">Bowmanville Memorial Park Club House<\/a> from 10am-4pm with free admission whilst the <strong>Newmarket Record Show<\/strong> will be occurring an hour or so drive away on the same day at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/9Zgezz1WPzLCVkfm9\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Canadian Legion<\/a> from 10am-3pm. (<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/dir\/Bowmanville+Memorial+Park+Club+House,+Liberty+Street+South,+Bowmanville,+ON\/Royal+Canadian+Legion+Branch+426,+Srigley+Street,+Newmarket,+ON\/@43.9129866,-79.3425143,10z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x89d500b7bd96aaab:0xa98e8a1f568bfe14!2m2!1d-78.6776964!2d43.9037999!1m5!1m1!1s0x882ad2735957c8f3:0x5ba67fec94c0ecc!2m2!1d-79.4471376!2d44.056701!3e0\" target=\"_blank\">Road trip?<\/a><\/em>)<\/li><li>There will be a <strong>Giant Record &amp; CD Garage Sale<\/strong> at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/xVZScwrzvz9Rn5D96\" target=\"_blank\">90 Vanzant Court<\/a> in Whitchurch-Stouffville from 10am to 4 pm on Saturday, September 17th. This appears to be a private residence so parking could be limited. <\/li><li>The <strong>Guelph Record Show<\/strong> will be happening the following Sunday, September 18th at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/PV6X8hEKh7MZJpdq5\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Canadian Legion<\/a> from 10:30am-4pm and tickets are $20 for early access and $5 for general admission. <\/li><li>The <strong>Montreal Record Show<\/strong> will occur the Sunday after that, on the 24th of September at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/TDJwqdgZQMrs3nTM6\" target=\"_blank\">Eglise Catholique Saint-Denis<\/a> from 10am to 4pm, with free admission. This church if located next to the North entrance of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/KSwCMCLzBqs9McYo6\" target=\"_blank\">Laurier Metro station<\/a>, I believe facing the entrance itself.<\/li><li>The <strong>Toronto Downtown Record Show<\/strong> will be at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/x7QRzMHJaruySoTi8\" target=\"_blank\">958 Broadview Ave<\/a>, East York from 10am to Noon ($25\/early admission) and Noon to 3pm ($5\/general admission) on Sunday, September 25th. Parking will be limited but the event is less than a three minute bus ride from the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/M4et1YahpjphT3GN9\" target=\"_blank\">Broadview TTC Metro Station<\/a> to the corner of Broadview and Chester Hill Rd (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/reXBrPvi1FoaaiiL8\" target=\"_blank\">Stop ID: 651<\/a>), or ten minute walk from said station. <\/li><li>The <strong>Hamilton Record Show<\/strong> is also happening on Sunday, the 25th of September from 10:30am to 4pm at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/tYi9xP6tckBoPHfF7\" target=\"_blank\">Bridgeworks<\/a>, which is an hour&#8217;s drive away from the Toronto event. The venue is also a ten minute walk from the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gotransit.com\/en\/travelling-with-us\/promotions-and-events\/hamilton\" target=\"_blank\">West Harbour GO station<\/a> or 6 minute walk from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/dPWNYeb5e3YWJCkeA\" target=\"_blank\">Bus Stop 2977<\/a> at the corner of Cannon and Hess. And he admission fees for this convention is $20 for early admission and $5 for general admission. <\/li><li>The first convention of October will occur on the Sunday, the 2nd in <strong>Windsor<\/strong> at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/UVX5u2xcjpU7itdY8\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Canadian Legion<\/a> on Wyandotte St E at 10am to 4pm. Admission will be $3 and the venue from this event is near bus stop numbers <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/wUmsBUh48HrER8Ag7\" target=\"_blank\">1303<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/da5aZrs45y4WpbNh7\" target=\"_blank\">1304<\/a>. <\/li><li>Another <strong>Bowmanville CD and Record Show<\/strong> is scheduled for Sunday, October 16th at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/q9uAFxHqQ25JJWU19\" target=\"_blank\">Bowmanville Memorial Park Club House<\/a> from 10am-4pm with free admission whilst the <strong>Barrie Vinyl Record &amp; Collectibles Show<\/strong> will be happening an hour and a half drive away on the same day at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/g.page\/allandale-recreation-centre?share\" target=\"_blank\">Allandale Recreation Center<\/a> from 10am-3pm with $4 admission. (<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/dir\/Bowmanville+Memorial+Park+Club+House,+Liberty+Street+South,+Bowmanville,+ON\/Allandale+Recreation+Centre,+190+Bayview+Dr,+Barrie,+ON+L4N+4Y8\/@44.0408575,-79.4675798,10z\/data=!4m15!4m14!1m5!1m1!1s0x89d500b7bd96aaab:0xa98e8a1f568bfe14!2m2!1d-78.6776964!2d43.9037999!1m5!1m1!1s0x882abded75befd07:0x28b623a47ef88db0!2m2!1d-79.6842333!2d44.3611528!3e0!5i2\" target=\"_blank\">Road trip?<\/a><\/em>)<\/li><li>The <strong>London Record Show<\/strong> will be occurring the following Sunday, October 23rd at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/mCz38KPGGpSS6u9j8\" target=\"_blank\">Centennial Hall<\/a> from 11am to 5pm, with a $5 admission fee. Parking is available onsite for a fee and the nearest bus stops are less than a three minute walk away at London City Hall (bus stop numbers <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/MwkzCNGBngJmGMKa9\" target=\"_blank\">535<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/1BfemAfVtRuQ2ZNp9\" target=\"_blank\">1936<\/a>). <\/li><li>The <strong>Calgary Music Collectors Show<\/strong>, will be on at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/8svB1BXXBZ5FuMzx9\" target=\"_blank\">Acadia Recreation Centre Curling Hall<\/a> on Sunday, October 23rd from 9:30am-11am ($10\/early admission) and 11am-4pm ($5\/general admission). The bus stop numbers closest to the venue are <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/EB+90+AV+SE+@+Bonaventure+DR+SE\/@50.9731663,-114.0653075,17z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x53717121515b9fbb:0x461e36efe485fefe!8m2!3d50.972188!4d-114.0652029\" target=\"_blank\">6414<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/hG9D9REtWzgRPLhY8\" target=\"_blank\">6447<\/a>.<\/li><li>The <strong>Oshawa CD\/Record Show<\/strong> end the scheduled shows for October at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/RzyDaWAqVzfywCy38\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Canadian Legion<\/a> from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, the 30th. Admission will be $3, with parking on-site, and the nearest bus stops are numbers <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/JWqLHPe5Z9p5Ydvx8\" target=\"_blank\">665<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/Bzwr6mk17AUzj9M89\" target=\"_blank\">670<\/a>.<\/li><li>The <strong>St. Catharines Record Show<\/strong> originally scheduled for the 8th of November was unfortunately cancelled so the first record convention of that month in Ontario will be the <strong>Burlington Record Show<\/strong> at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/zBDTzdKGFp2wMs286\" target=\"_blank\">Burlington Senior Center<\/a> in Central Park, from 10:30am to 4pm on Sunday, the 13th. Admission will be $3 and the nearest bus stop number are <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/ZDwVrcAKAyLWTr2d9\" target=\"_blank\">38<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/dwtGjJy46dNzNjqu7\" target=\"_blank\">40<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/fTeeXTeaSDwvX4Ua8\" target=\"_blank\">216<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/A9nrBbGsBBHZQBSeA\" target=\"_blank\">815<\/a>, the latter being the closest. And this event occurs on the same day of November&#8217;s <strong>Bowmanville CD and Record Show<\/strong> at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/q9uAFxHqQ25JJWU19\" target=\"_blank\">Bowmanville Memorial Park Club House<\/a>, which is of course free, open from 10am to 4pm and only a hour and a half drive away from the previously mentioned event. And the nearest bus stop to the venue is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/jCucXfDAPUL2GHvu6\" target=\"_blank\">#245<\/a>.<\/li><li>The December 11th <strong>Bowmanville CD and Record Show<\/strong> is apparently the last show of the Fall season and year, at the same times and venue as the previous shows. But this may change at any time so I encourage you to to visit <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/vibrations.ca\/vibrations-static\/?fbclid=IwAR3tytXJRp2_fXIb5wSzmQ2mdWzXxcgI5bqwt4vQWBdUq8ZnF9_RLJSENN8\" target=\"_blank\">Vibrations.ca<\/a> for updated record convention information. And please be aware that masks and social distancing may be encouraged at these events, as well as the use of cash for purchases.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I will try to update this page.
