Ottawa Memorabilia Events & More
There will be two memorabilia collector events in Ottawa this Sunday and several others in Milton, Ontario and Grande Prairie, Alberta, that latter occurring over three days from Friday the 12th of July, 2024.
The first event of this weekend will of course be Grandecon at the Bonnets Energy Center, open from 2pm to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday, with various ticket prices that are listed here.
The venue has its own bus stop and is serviced by Route 01 and Route 03 on Grand Prairie Transit.

The next event, Milton Comicon, will be on Saturday, the 13th of July 2024 at the Milton Sports Centre Banquet Room from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
Multiple bus routes on Milton Transit service this venue, including Route 2 (at bus stop 2040) and Routes 7 and 8 (at bus stops 2176 and 2195).

The fifth annual Fanaticcon Ottawa will occur at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre on the 14th, from 10am to 5pm.
General admission to this event is $20 cash at the door or free for kids 12 and under. But VIP Admission appears to be still available at $22.63. And this venue is a ten minute walk from the Tremblay O-Train station over the Max Keeping Pedestrian Bridge. Or you can also choose to take the bus to stop numbers 7080 and 7081, which is serviced by Route 9 from the Hurdman O-Train station. Consult OC Transpo for additional information.

The other Ottawa memorabilia collector event will be the Capital Trade Show at the Nepean Sportsplex from 10am to 3pm, also on Sunday, and this event is free.
This venue is serviced by multiple bus routes operated by OC Transpo, including Route 75 which links to Route 88 at the Baseline Station, the later terminating at Hurdman Station, where Route 9 can be taken to the venue hosting the other, previously mentioned event. The travel planner on OC Transpo calculates that it takes an hour and a half to travel in-between the two venues.

One Record Convention + Multiple Comicon
There will be multiple events this weekend, one of which will be a record convention. And yes, there are two comic conventions in Oshawa on Saturday, the first of June 2024.
CompasCon Oshawa is a pop up event that will feature multiple film, television and music related memorabilia, that will be hosted at the Royal Canadian Legion from 10am to 3pm. And admission will be $2.50 and kids under 12 get in for free.
The nearest bus stop to the venue are numbers 665 and 670, which are serviced by Durham Regional Transit.

The Oshawa Comicon will be hosted by the Harmony Creek Community Center from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
Multiple stops service the major intersection near this venue, which is serviced again by Durham Regional Transit. Note that both Oshawa event venues are linked by bus routes 410 and 902.

The Trenton Comicon will also be held this Saturday from 10 am to 3pm but at the Trenton Curling Club. And admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
The venue has its own bus stop, serviced by B Route on Quinte Transit.

The Toronto East (Scarborough) Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 at the Ellesmere Community Center from 10am to 3pm an admission will be $5.
This venue is serviced by multiple routes on the TTC.ca, a site that has a trip planner that can help you find the best options available. Just enter 20 Canadian Road as the destination. And yes, there is a nearby subway station, Ellesmere, which is located an 11 minute bus ride east of the venue.

The Capital Trade Show Sports Card and Comic Show will be held at the Nepean Sportsplex, also on Sunday, the 2nd of June 2024, from 9am to 3pm, with free admission.
This venue is located on the Transitway so it is serviced by multiple routes on OC Transpo, which now accept credit and debit cards via O-Payment.

Anime, Records & More
There will be two events this weekend, one in Ottawa, Ontario and the other in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The first Anime Ottawa will be held at the EY Center from the 29th to the 31st of March, 2024, and will of course feature memorabilia form this art form.

The Halifax Record Fair will be held in the Maritime Hall of the Halifax Forum on Saturday the 30th on March, 2024, from 9am to 4pm.
Early admission will be $15 from 9am and regular admission will be $5 from 10am. And the nearest bus stops, 8564 and 8572, face the venue and are serviced by Halifax Transit.

This Weekend’s Events
There will be three events this weekend two of which will be collectors conventions for music, television and film memorabilia and the third being a record convention.
Tsokino-Con 2024 is an anime convention that will occur from the 23rd to the 25th at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, primarily in the Engineering and Computer Science Building (ECS), Bob Wright Centre (BWC), and the Elliott Building (ELL).
Admission ranges in price depending on one’s age and one’s stay at the convention (click here for details) and the nearest bus stops to the venues are #101036 and #100991. The later is a seven minute walk away from the buildings hosting the event, along Ring Road, and additional information on the routes servicing the area can be obtained from BC Transit.

613Flea is a gigantic flea market held monthly at the Aberdeen Pavilion in Landsdowne Park, in downtown Ottawa. And this month it will be on the 24th from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is free and you may find vendors that sell vinyl and/or the aforementioned memorabilia. And the nearest bus stop, which is serviced by multiple routes, is 3080 and is a five minutes walk away from the venue. A trip planner is available from OC Transpo.

The Oshawa Record Show will be held at their usual venue, the LVIV Hall & Pavilion at 38 LVIV Blvd in Oshawa on Sunday, the 25th of February, from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is $5 or free for students and children under 14. And the nearest bus stops are 667 and 668 on Simcoe St or 1058 and 1089 on Bloor Street East, all a five minute walk away from the venue, over the Hwy of Heroes.
