Lots of Events This Weekend.

Record Store Day is coming up fast, on the 18th. But there are quite a few record conventions, comicons and collector events this weekend for meanwhile:

Central Canada C4 Comic-Con will be a two day event at the Caboto Centre, starting on Friday, the 10th of April 2026 at 4pm, ending at 9pm the following day. And entry is $10 or free for kids 14 and under.

The nearest bus stops to this venue are 60013 and 60054, which is serviced by Route 677 on Winnipeg Transit.

The Spring 2026 edition of the Edmonton Record Fair will also be held on the 11th of April, 2026 at the Northgate Lions Recreation Centre, from 9:30am to 3:30pm. And early admission at 9:30 am will be $10 whilst general admission will be $5 at 11am.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 77342 and 77350, where are serviced by Route 54 on Edmonton Transit.

Ottawa Record Fair VII will again be held at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre but on April 11th, 2026 from 10am to 4pm. And admission will be $10 at 10am (early bird) and $5 at 11am (general entry).

The venue is of course located one street over from Bank, where bus stop numbers 1902 and 2487 are located. And these stops are serviced Routes 6, 7 and 11 on OC Transpo, which are accessible from Parliament Station.

The Saskatoon Anime Fest will be hosted by the Saskatoon Inn and Conference Centre on April 11th, 2026 from 10am to 5pm. And admission information can be accessed by clicking here.

This venue has its own bus stop, bus stop number 5642, which is serviced by Route 11 on Saskatoon Transit.

TimminsCon 2026 is a two day event starting at 10am on the 11th of April, to 4pm on the 12th of April, 2026 at the McIntyre Community Centre and admission information can be found by clicking here.

The venue has a bus stop serviced by Route 9 on Saturdays and Routes 16 and 901 on Sundays on Timmons Transit.

The Toronto-Mississauga Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be at the Etobicoke Olympium from 10am to 3pm on April 12th, 2006 and admission is $5.

The nearest bus stops to the venue at bus stop number 1477 and 1493, which are serviced by Route 48 on the TTC.

The Vancouver Flea Market Records & Vinyl Show will be hosted by the Vancouver Flea Market on the 12th of April, 2026, opening at 10am and closing at 3pm. And admission will be $5.

This venue is an 11 minute walk away from the Science Center Station and Pacific Central Train Station but Route 22 on Translink also services the nearest bus stops to this venue, 51276 and 51354.

Lots of Events This Weekend

This will be a busy weekend with two record conventions in Ontario, and multiple comicon/collector events throughout Canada, two of which will be two day events in Charlottetown, PEI and Toronto, Ontario.

The first two day event will be the Atlantic Entertainment Expo at the PEI Convention Center on March 28th and 29th, 2026 and kids under 13 can get in for free with a paying adult.

Admission information is available here and you will need to contact T3 Transit for information on how to get to the venue because Route 4 has limited runs on Saturdays and does not operate on Sundays.

The Toronto Game Expo will be held in Hall G of the Enercare Centre, also on the 28th and 29th of March, 2026 and ticket information can be found here.

The venue is of course located in Exhibition Place, which is serviced by the Exhibition Place Go Station and the Exhibition Loop, where Streetcar Route 509 terminates on the TTC. And the venue’s entrance is also conveniently placed near the Manitoba Dr at Strachan Ave stop.

The Nerdvana Comic & Toy Show will be hosted by the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon on Saturday March 28th, 2026 from 10am to 5pm and admission will be $5.00 with free admission for kids 12 and under.

The nearest bus stop to the venue is Bus Stop Number 5490, which is serviced by Route 01 on Saskatoon Transit.

The Winnipeg Anime-Fest will be hosted by the Sandman Hotel-Winnipeg Airport on Saturday, the 28th of March, 2026 from 10am to 5pm and admission will be $20 with kids under 11 getting in for free with an adult.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are numbers 11151 and 20005, which is serviced by Route 74 on Winnipeg Transit and a 6 minute walk from the venue.

The Stratford Comicon will be held at the Best Western Plus The Arden Hotel from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, the 28th of March, 2026. And admission will be $10 at the door with free admission for kids under the age of 12 or $5 via Eventbrite.

The venue is a 4 minute taxi drive from the Stratford Go and Via Rail station.

The Oshawa Record Show will be hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, the 29th of March, 2026. And admission will be $5 at the door and free admission for students and kids under 12.

Transit to this venue is provided by Durham Region Transit.

The Cambridge ComiCon will be held at the Oriental Sports Club from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, March 29th, 2026. And admission will be $10 at the door (or $5 online on Eventbrite) with free admission to kids under 12 (w/ adult).

The venue is unfortunately not serviced by transit.

The Sarnia Record Show will be hosted by the Sarnia Legion from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, the 29th of March, 2026. And admission will be a $2 donation to charity.

The venue is a 6 minute walk from the Downtown Terminal and Sarnia – Bayside Terminal, which is serviced by multiple routes on Sarnia Transit, Middlesex County Connects and Flixbus.

Two Events in Barrie & More

Barrie will have two events this weekend, a comicon on Saturday, the 3rd of May 2025, and a record convention the following day, on the 4th. And events will also be occurring in Prince George, Dorchester and Saskatoon, as soon as on Friday, the 2nd of May.

The Barrie Comicon will be hosted by the Barrie Curling Club on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 from 10am to 3pm.

Admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under. And the venue is serviced by Routes 8A and 8B on Barrie Transit from bus stop numbers 289 and 873.

The Barrie Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be held from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, May 4th, 2025 from 10am to 3pm at the Allandale Recreation Centre and admission will be $5.

This venue’s bus stops numbers are 94 and 95, which are serviced by Routes 12A and 12B on Barrie Transit.

The Northern Fancon will be a weekend long event in Prince George CN Centre and nearby Kin 1 Arena from Friday the 2nd to Sunday the 4th of May.

Admission information can be found by clicking here and both venues are serviced by Routes 5 and 55 on Prince George Transit via multiple bus stops, primarily 105160 and 105334.

Another multiple day event will be Saskatoon’s Pop Con YXE, which will be at Prairieland Park on Saturday the 3rd of May (from 10am to 6pm) and Sunday the 4th of May (from 10am to 6pm).

The last event of the weekend will be the Dorchester Record & CD Sale on Sunday, the 4th of May, 2025 from 10am to 3pm at Dorchester Legion.

Admission will be a donation to the legion and unfortunately the venue is not serviced by public transit.

There will be multiple comicon events and one record convention this weekend:

The Northern FanCon in Prince George, BC will occur from May 3rd to May 5th, 2024 at the CN Center.

The Saskatoon Entertainment Expo will be hosted on both May 4th and May 5th, 2024 at Prairieland Park.

The Barrie Comicon will be held at the Barrie Curling Club on May 4th, 2024 from 10am to 3pm.

The Barrie Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will also occur in Barrie, ON but on the following day (May 5th, 2024) at the nearby Allandale Recreation Centre from 10am to 3pm.

Admission will be $5 and the venue is serviced by routes 1A and 1B on Barrie Transit.

The Caledon Comicon will happen on May 5th, 2024 at the Caledon East Community Complex from 10am to 3pm.

Admission will be $25.07 for VIP, $7.12 for General Admission and Free for kids under 12.

And last but not least, the Capital Trade Sports Card & Comic Book Show will also be held on May 5th, 2024 from 10am to 3pm but at the Nepean Sportsplex.

Admission and parking is free. And the venue is of course serviced by multiple routes on OC Transpo.

New Sunrise Records in Saskatoon

A new source for vinyl, cds and merchandise will open in the western section of The Center at 10am on June 6th, 2023. And apparently they’ll have “several gift with purchase offers and other giveaways”.

The mall is located at 3310 8 St E, next to the 8th Street exit on the Yellowhead Highway/Circle Drive East. Enjoy.
