Comparison Shopping Time
Newegg Canada, Best Buy Canada, Indigo Books
and Staples Canada have decided to have sales events of their own in response to Amazon’s two-day Prime Day event so you will have ample opportunity to do some comparison shopping starting at Midnight EST.
You won’t find much music and film-related items at Staples Canada, other than headphones and some other music accessories. But Newegg Canada and Best Buy Canada do offer home audio and home theatre components and accessories. And if you’re looking for Apple products you may want to check The Source out.
Indigo Books will also be discounting their book and tech items for their Plum members by up to 40% until Midnight on Wednesday, so you may want to check them out as well.
By the way, if you’re looking for speakers here’s an offer you may be interested in: Get 6 months of Disney+ with your Sonos.com purchase through Oct 31st
Happy shopping.
It’s Boxing Day Time
Boxing Day deals have already begun at Canadian retailers like 123ink.ca, Amazon Canada, Best Buy Canada, Canada Computers, chapters.indigo.ca, Living.ca, Microsoft Canada
, Newegg Canada
, Prime Cables Canada, Sonos Canada, Staples Canada and thesource.ca. But you’ll need to wait until Boxing Day itself for deep discounts at Amazon U.k and Sheet Music Plus if you were planning on importing music, sheet music, DVDs and Blu-rays from “across the pond”, although you could still browse those shops to see if they have discounts on certain products today.
Year-end deals can also be found in the United States at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble, the later primarily in their CD & Vinyl and Movies & TV departments. And if you’re looking for collectibles, like figurines and other memorabilia, Entertainment Earth is having an After Christmas Sale.

Special Offer
Amazon Prime Members in Canada that shop at Canadian Whole Foods Market stores will be able to get a $10 coupon for the upcoming July 15th and 16th Prime Day event at Amazon.ca. Click here for details.
Mark Your Calendars
Prime Day will be on July 15th & 16th this year. And Canadians can also get a free year of Amazon Prime by opening an All-in Banking Package account with Manulife.ca, provided you use this unlimited daily banking account to make 10 in-store or online purchases per month for the first two months you’ve had this account.
I’m not paid by the bank but thought you’d like to know. And yes, I do believe current Amazon Prime members would have their membership extended by a year on that offer.
By the way, you should keep an eye on Newegg.ca, who may also be offering deals to their Premier
members on these dates. And both Indigo
and Barnes & Noble
are also known to have competitive sales and discounts at the same time.
