Multiple Collector Events, Mostly in Ontario

There will be seven collector and/or comic events this weekend, all but one being in Ontario.

Island Fancon will be held from the Friday, the 5th to Sunday. the 7th of June, 2026 in City Centre Park and ticket information is available by clicking here.

The venue’s closest bus stops are bus stop numbers 101549 and 101556, which are serviced by multiple routes on BC Transit.

The Niagara Falls Comicon will also be held all weekend, but at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, and you can click here for ticket information.

The venue had two bus stops, 6152 and 6577, which are serviced by Routes 106 and 112 on Niagara Region Transit.

The Toronto Comic Art Festival will be a two day event that will be held at the Mattamy Athletic Center, on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday June 7th and admission is free.

The venue is located a three minute walk east from the College Subway Station.

The Parry Sound Comicon will occur on June 6th, 2026 from 10am to 3pm at the Bobby Orr Community Centre and admission will be $10 at the door and free for kids 12 and under.

This community has no public transit but the venue itself is a three minute taxi drive or 14 minute walk from the Via Rail Station. And the nearest bus stops to the venue are 5 minutes away by taxi, which are serviced by Ontario Northland and Flixbus.

The Play It Again Retro Media Market will be held on Sunday, the 7th of June, 2026 at the Next Door Market & Event Space, which is conveniently located next to the Corso Italia Light Rail Station.

This free event will be held from 11am to 5pm.

The Junction Steel Wheels Record Show will also be held on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, but from noon to 5pm at the Rainhard Brewery and admission will be $7 at the door with free swag bags for the first 50 to 100 customers.

The venue is a three minute walk away from the Gunns Loop which is serviced by streetcar routes 312 and 512.

And finally, the Bracebridge Comicon with be held on Sunday as well, from 10am to 3pm at the Muskoka Lumber Community Center and admission will be $10 at the door with kids under 12 getting in for free.

Bracebridge Transit unfortunately does not operate on Sundays.

Major Record Conventions

There will be four major record conventions event this weekend:

The first major convention will be the Victoria Record Fair, which will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at the Fernwood Community Center from 11am to 4pm and admission will be $5 or $30 for early entry at 10:30am.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are 100245 and 102617, which are serviced by Route 22 on Victoria Regional Transit. The venue is accessible via the Gladstone Mall Pedestrian Zone.

The second major convention will be the St. Catherines Record Show, which will be hosted by the Grantham Optimist Youth Center on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 from 10:30am to 4pm and admission will be $5.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are numbers 303 and 306, which are serviced by Route 417 on Niagara Transit.

The third event will be The Junction Steel Wheels Record Show which will be held at the Rainhard Brewing Company from noon to 6pm on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 and admission will be $5.

The nearest bus stops to this venue are bus stop numbers 7361 and 7364, which are serviced by Route 189 on the TTC. The venue is accessible from these stop via paths at the end of Symes Street and the venue is also a ten minute walk away from the Gunns Loop, where street car routes 312 and 512 terminate.

And last but not least. the fourth major convention will be the Record Fair NL, which will also occur on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 but at St.Johns Farmers Market from 10am to 4pm and admission will be $2.

This venue has two bus stops, numbers 2780 and 3080, which are services by Routes 10 and 12 on Metrobus.

This Weekend’s Events

The weekend long Montreal Comicon will be held from July 4th to July 6th, 2025 at the Palais De Congres.

Admission information can be found by clicking here and the venue is serviced by the Place d’Armes Metro Station.

The second annual West Shore Vinyl Plus Record Fair will be hosted by the Langford Legion from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, the 6th of July, 2025 and admission will be $2.

The venue is a five minute walk away from the Langford Exchange, which is also on Station Road, and multiple BC Transit bus routes operate out of this station.

The Bring Out Your Dead! Vinyl Sale & Swap will also be held this Sunday, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Black Dog Freehouse and I believe this is a free event.

This 82nd street venue is serviced by multiple routes on Edmonton Transit, some from the Health Sciences Jubilee Station (Routes 004 & 726), and it is also a 7 minute walk from the Whyte Ave Terminal of the High Level Bridge Streetcar.

This Weekend’s Events

There will be three events this weekend two of which will be collectors conventions for music, television and film memorabilia and the third being a record convention.

Tsokino-Con 2024 is an anime convention that will occur from the 23rd to the 25th at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, primarily in the Engineering and Computer Science Building (ECS), Bob Wright Centre (BWC), and the Elliott Building (ELL).

Admission ranges in price depending on one’s age and one’s stay at the convention (click here for details) and the nearest bus stops to the venues are #101036 and #100991. The later is a seven minute walk away from the buildings hosting the event, along Ring Road, and additional information on the routes servicing the area can be obtained from BC Transit.

613Flea is a gigantic flea market held monthly at the Aberdeen Pavilion in Landsdowne Park, in downtown Ottawa. And this month it will be on the 24th from 10am to 4pm.

Admission is free and you may find vendors that sell vinyl and/or the aforementioned memorabilia. And the nearest bus stop, which is serviced by multiple routes, is 3080 and is a five minutes walk away from the venue. A trip planner is available from OC Transpo.

The Oshawa Record Show will be held at their usual venue, the LVIV Hall & Pavilion at 38 LVIV Blvd in Oshawa on Sunday, the 25th of February, from 10am to 4pm.

Admission is $5 or free for students and children under 14. And the nearest bus stops are 667 and 668 on Simcoe St or 1058 and 1089 on Bloor Street East, all a five minute walk away from the venue, over the Hwy of Heroes.

Record Conventions This Weekend

There will be two record conventions this weekend, one in Oshawa, Ontario and the other in Victoria, British Columbia. Both are on Sunday, the 12th of 2023/

The Oshawa CD/Record Show will be from 10am to 4pm at the LVIV Hall at 38 LVIV Blvd.

Admission will be $5 (kids 14 and under will get in free, as well as students with student ID). The nearest bus stops are on Simcoe St (bus stops #667 and #668). A trip platter is available on Durham Region Transit‘s web site for additional details.

The Victoria Record Fair will be hosted at the Fernwood Community Center, from 11am to 4pm.

Admission will be a suggested donation of $2 to $5 with proceeds going to the Victoria Native Friendship Center. Kids will get free admission and the nearest but stops are #100240 and #100245, at the corners of Fernwood and Gladstone.
