Thin Red Line – 40th Anniversary
Manhattan Records released Glass Tiger‘s debut album 40 years ago today, which went four times Platinum in Canada in 1987 after 37 weeks in the charts, peaking at the 4th position in May 1986.
Known primarily for it’s Platinum Certified single “Don’t Forget Me (when it’s gone)”, which topped the charts for two weeks in May 2026, and the Gold Certified Top 12 hit “Someday”, the album won Album of the Year at the Juno Awards for 1986.
The band also won a Juno Award for Most Promising Band of the Year and Single of the Year for “Don’t Forget Me (When You’re Gone)” in 1986. And another Single of the Year the following Juno Awards in 1987, for “Someday”.
This was one of the first albums I purchased, which I enjoyed from by teens and on. And you can buy a remastered, tiger striped, 180 gram version on vinyl directly from the band’s official site or on eBay.
Enjoy!
