Today is the 16th Video Store Day, and like Record Store Day it celebrates the independent retailers in Canada and the United States, with one or two international retailers thrown in.
The list of Canadian participants is short but will likely expand as more and more retailers join:
- Bay Street Video (Toronto)
- Le Cinoche Club Video (Montreal)
- Eyesore Cinema (Toronto)
- Odyssey Records and Cinema (Toronto)
- Rough Cut Video (Calgary)
- The Lobby (Edmonton)
- The Odds & Sods Shoppe (Ottawa)
- Cafe Victor Victor Victor (Montréal)
Independent retailers provide access to films that may not be available from the usual retailers, including foreign releases, so you might want to pop in one of these stored today.
