This Weekend’s Events
There will be several major events this weekend, including one record convention in Toronto and two comicons, one in Edmonton AB and the other in Hamilton ON.
The Edmonton Fanexpo will be hosted by the Edmonton Expo Center from the 18th to the 20th of September, 2026 and ticket information can be found clicking here.
This venue is serviced by Coliseum Station, on the Edmonton Transit network.

The Hamilton Comicon will be held from September 19th to the 20th, 2026 at the Hamilton Convention Center and admission information is available by clicking here.
The venue is serviced by multiple routes on Hamilton Transit via the Frank A. Cooke Terminal, which is next to the venue.

The Toronto-Mississauga Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be held at the Etobicoke Olympium from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, the 20th of September, 2026 and admission will be $5 cash at the door.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 1477 and 1493, which are serviced by Route 48 on the TTC.

Lots of Events This Weekend
There will be four record shows this weekend, one of which will be in Vancouver BC, and three will be held in Ontario, two of which will be in Northern Ontario. And there will be a multitude of comicons/collector events, the majority of which will be in Ontario, with one event in Alberta.
The East Van Vinyl Dig will be held at the Heritage Hall in Vancouver, BC on the evening and night of Friday, September 11th, 2026 from 6pm to 11pm. And admission will be $5.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 50241 and 59581, which are service by Route 3 on Translink from the Main Street-Science World Metro Station.

The Ottawa Comicon will be held from Friday, the 11th to Sunday the 13th of September 2026 at the newly renamed EY Centre, now known as the Cohere Center. And tickets vary in price (click here for additional information).
This venue is of course serviced by the Uplands O-Train station on OC Transpo.

The MVC Comic Con will be held on Saturday, September 11th and Sunday, September 12th 2026 at the Mountain View Heritage Center and not only is the event free, but bus service to the venue will be provided free as well from all Mountain View County community libraries, with the exception of Cremona (click here for details)
This event is for anime, comic and gaming enthusiasts.

The Kingston Comicon is a collector’s event held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 on Saturday, September 12th, 2026 from 10am to 3pm and admission will range from $10 with kids under 12 getting in for free to $30 VIP at the door, with options to purchase tickets online.
The venue has two bus stops service by Route 1 on Kingston Transit. And please note that vinyl vendors do frequent this event.

Graffiker Alley is a new event for Self-Published Comics, Manga and Zines that will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at the Small Arms Inspection Building in Mississauga from 11am to 5pm and admission is free.
The venue is a 10 minute walk west from the Long Branch Go Station and Long Branch Loop on the TTC streetcar system. And it is also serviced by multiple routes on Miway, namely Route 5 and 23 via four bus stops on Dixie Rd (3444 & 3449) and Lakeshore Rd East (0408 & 0443).

The Bowmanville Record & CD Show will be hosted by the Memorial Park Clubhouse on Sunday, the 13th of September, 2026 from 10am to 4pm and admission will be free.
The nearest active bus stop to the venue on Sundays is bus stop number 1499, which is serviced by Route 902 by Durham Region Transit and an 8 minute walk from the venue.

The Burlington Record and CD Sale will be held on Sunday, September 13th, 2026 at the Halton Naval Veterans Association Hall from 10am to 4pm and admission will be free.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are a five minute walk away and bus stop numbers 204 & 207 are serviced by Routes 3 and 6 on Burlington Transit.

And finally, the Peterborough Comicon will be hosted by the Peterborough Curling Club from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, September 13th, 2026 and admission will be $10 at the door or free for kids 12 and under. Please read the note below the map.
There is no public transit to this venue and there appears to be conflicting information on the details of this event online, the advertisement on Facebook claiming it’s still on whilst the links on the official site on Pop Culture Canada and Eventbright saying it’ll be held on January 2nd, 2027. AC/DC Pop Up Shop & Comicons
Acca Dacca fans in Edmonton will have an opportunity to purchase official merch at the AC/DC PWR/UP Pop Up this weekend at The Starlite Room, on the 8th and 9th of August, 2026.
The nearest bus stop to this venue is bus stop number 1251, which is services by multiple bus routes on the ETS. But bus stops 1322 and 1620 are also within a two minute walk away.
Please note that this is one of the five Canadian stops for this pop-up shop, which will sell exclusive and limited edition merch to fans in Vancouver (Aug 12/13), Montreal (Sep 11/12), Toronto (Sep 15/16) and Winnipeg (Sep 19/20).

Okakuthon 2006, an anime convention held at the Montreal Convention Center from the 7th to the 9th of August, will also have multiple displays on manga, games and Japanese culture.

Pop culture convention Vaughan Con will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 at the Bellvue Event Centre from 10am to 5pm and ticket information can be found by clicking here.

And finally, the Collingwood Comicon will also be held on Saturday, the 8th of August 2026 but at Collingwood Legion from 10am to 3pm. And tickets can be purchased online from at EventBright or for $5 at the door, kids 12 and under getting in for free.

Multiple Weekend Long Comicons
There will be two major, weekend long comicons / collector events this weekend:
Sudbury Ultracon with be held from Friday, the 24th of July to Sunday, the 26th of July, 2026 at the Radison Sudbury and ticket information can be found on the official event site.
This venue is serviced by bus stops on Xavier by Route 26, Elgin by Route 27 and Durham by Route 11 on Greater Sudbury Transit.

VulCON is the weekend long Star Trek convention and collector event at the Vulcan Tourism & Trek Centre and this year it will be held from the 24th to the 26th of July, 2026.
Although many special events have been sold out, free admission events will occur through-out the community, like the collector’s market in the gymnasium at the County Central High School. And Flixbus services the venue itself but I suspect tickets have unfortunately already been sold out (but I would try anyway for last minute cancelations).

Only Comicons This Weekend
There wont be any record conventions this weekend, only comicons. But some of these are major events:
Ai-con will be a weekend long anime event from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th, 2026 at the RBC Convention Center in Winnipeg, MB and admission information can be found clicking here.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are 10586 and 10593, which are serviced by Routes D14 and D15 on Winnipeg Transit.

Fanaticcon Ottawa 2026 will be held at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 from 11am to 4pm and admission will be $20 (cash at entry) with kids under 12 getting in for free, or $25 for early VIP entry at 10am.
The venue is serviced by Bus Route 9 on OC Transpo, from bus stop numbers 7080 and 7081. And the venue is also a 10 minute walk away from the Tremblay light rail station and Ottawa Via Rail train station, via the Max Keeping Pedestrian Bridge.

Central Alberta Fanfest 2006 will also be held on the 18th of July but at the Ponoka Jubilee Library and this appears to be a free event. But I am unsure of the hours of operation of this event, possibly noon to 4pm.
This community does not have public transit.

The Streetsville Comicon will also occur on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 but will be hosted by the Vic Johnson Community Centre from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $10 at the door with kids under 12 getting in for free.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are bust stop number 2401 and 2435, which are serviced by Route 44 on Miway and a 6 minute walk from the venue.

The Midland Comicon will be held on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 at the North Simcoe Sports Centre, a.k.a Bourgeois Community Center from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $10 at the door and free for kids 12 and under.
There is unfortunately no transit service in this community on Sundays.

Four Record Conventions / Three Comicons
Ontario will be the place to be for event this weekend, except for two, which will happen in Edmonton and Vancouver.
The Crystal Ridge Dream Center will host the 2nd Annual Charity Record Show on May 30th, 2026 from 9am to 1pm and admission will be $2.
A On Demand transit service may be available from the Fort Erie Leisureplex on Niagara Transit.

The Huron County Comicon will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at Columbus Club Hall from 11am to 4pm and admission will be free.
There is unfortunately no transit to the area at the time of this event.

The Smiths Fall Comicon will be held at the Smith Falls Memorial Community Center from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, the 30th of May, 2026 and admission will be $10 at the door (or $5 online), with kids under 12 getting in for free.
This venue is an 18 minute walk away from the town’s Via Rail Station.

The Dead Vinyl Society Spring Record G-Sale & DJ Raveyard will be held on both the 30th and 31st of May, 2026, from 11am to 6pm open both days, and entry will be free.
