There wont be any record conventions this weekend, only comicons. But some of these are major events:
Ai-con will be a weekend long anime event from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th, 2026 at the RBC Convention Center in Winnipeg, MB and admission information can be found clicking here.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are 10586 and 10593, which are serviced by Routes D14 and D15 on Winnipeg Transit.

The venue is serviced by Bus Route 9 on OC Transpo, from bus stop numbers 7080 and 7081. And the venue is also a 10 minute walk away from the Tremblay light rail station and Ottawa Via Rail train station, via the Max Keeping Pedestrian Bridge.

Central Alberta Fanfest 2006 will also be held on the 18th of July but at the Ponoka Jubilee Library and this appears to be a free event. But I am unsure of the hours of operation of this event, possibly noon to 4pm.
This community does not have public transit.
