Record Store Day Weekend & More
Saturday, the 18th of April 2026 is of course the day record collectors have been waiting for. But did you know that multiple conventions will also occur this Record Store Day weekend, including several record conventions and a comicon?
Individuals living in the Sudbury, Ontario area will also be able to attend the Sudbury Music & Collectables Show on the same day as Record Store Day, an event that will be hosted by the Northbury Hotel (a.k.a Days Inn) from 10am to 3pm:
General admission will be $5 or $10 for early entry at 9am. And this venue is an 11 minute walk from the Via Rail station, which is also serviced by Routes 3, 4, 10 and 14 on Greater Sudbury Transit; You can use the tunnel under the tracks leading to Riverside Drive and walk down Broadway street to the venue.

The next event is the North Bay Record Show, which will occur on Sunday, April 19th, 2006 from 10am to 3pm at the Elk’s Lodge, which is a hour and forty minute drive away from Sudbury. And admission will also be $5 at the door or $10 for early entry at 9am.
The event has been conveniently plotted out on Google Maps but one should be able to walk to this venue in 15 minutes from the North Bay Train Station & Bus Terminal via a pedestrian tunnel leading to the Northgate Shopping Center.

The Galaxy Windsor Record Show will also be occurring from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, April 19th, 2026 but at the Dominion House. And admission will be a donation to the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 1074 and 1075, which is serviced by Route 1C on Windsor Transit.

And the one and only comicon event this weekend in Canada, the Rain City Comicon, will be held from 11am to 5pm at the Croatian Cultural Center on Sunday, the 19th of April, 2026. And admission will be free.
The nearest bus stops to the venue are bus stop numbers 50967 and 51217, which is serviced by Route 020 on Translink, from the nearly Commercial-Broadway station.

Last Minute Update: Ottawa-Gatineau residents should note that a swapping event, The Dead Media Maniacs, will be held at the House of Targ in Ottawa from 4pm too 7pm on Friday, the 17th of April, 2026.
This is a free swap – trade – sell event for vinyl, vhs, cds, cassettes, dvd, books, games, etc…

This Weekend’s Events
There will be one major comicon and two record conventions this weekend.
The Comiccon de Québec will be hosted by the
Centre des congrès de Québec on Saturday, the 11th and Sunday the 12th of October, 2025.
Admission information is available by clicking here. And the venue is located next to the Station D’Youville, stop number 1190, which is serviced by countless bus routes on RTC.

The Galaxy Sarnia Record Show will be held at The Moose Lodge from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 and admission will be free.
The nearest bus stops to this venue are a four minute walk away, on Confederation Street, and serviced by Routes 1 and 2 on Sarnia Transit.

The Windsor Record Show will be held at the Dominion House Tavern on Sunday, the 12th of October 2025 from 10am to 3pm and admission will be a donation to a charity.
Ample free parking is provided and the nearest bus stops to the venue, 1074 and 1075, are a one minute walk away and serviced by Route 1C on Windsor Transit.

Four Events in Ontario
There will be two record conventions and two comicon in the province of Ontario this weekend.
The Fort Erie Record Show will be hosted by Sessions on the River on Saturday, the 10th of May, 2025, from 10am to 3pm.
Admission will be a $3 donation to COPE and unfortunately this venue is not serviced by public transit.

The Branford Comicon will also be held this Saturday, May 10th, 2025 but from 10am to 4pm at the Branlyn Community Center.

The Orangeville Comicon will be held on Saturday, May 10th as well, from 10am to 3pm at the Orangeville Curling Club.
Admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under. And the venue is serviced by the Green route on Orangeville Transit, with a stop at Walmart, which is next to the venue.

And the Windsor Record Show will be held on Sunday, the 11th of May, 2025 at The Dominion House from 10am to 3pm.
Admission will be a donation to the Humane Society and the venue is serviced by Route 1C on Transit Windsor from Bus Stop Numbers 1074 and 1075.

The Windsor Record Show and More…
There will be one record show and four comicon/collectors conventions this weekend:
The Windsor Record Show will be held at the Dominion House Tavern on Sunday, the 10th of November 2024 from 10am to 3pm and yes, admission is free.

The Peterborough Comicon will be again hosted by The Venue, this time on Saturday, the 9th of 2024 from 10am to 3pm.
Admission to this event will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under. And the area is serviced by multiple Peterborough Transit routes via bus stops 1495 and 1537.

Another convention, the 2024 edition of Lindsay Comicon, will be held at the Victoria Park Armoury in nearby Lindsay, Ontario, on the following day (Nov 10th, 2024) from 10am to 3pm.
Admission will also be $5 and free for kids 12 and under. And the venue has its own bus stop and is located next to the Lindsay Transit hub at the corner of Victoria and Kent St. W.

Also occurring on Sunday is Compasscon: Leaside 2024 at the Leaside Memorial Arena in Toronto, from 10am to 4pm.
General admission is $5 or free for kids 12 and under, and discounted advance admission is available online. The venue is serviced by Route 56 and Route 56A on the TTC from the Leaside TTC Station via two stops, 5136 and 15671.

And finally, Capital Trade Show will again be holding their free monthly event at the Nepean Sportsplex this Sunday, from 10am to 3pm.
This venue is serviced by the Transitway, which means multiple OC Transpo routes will be available form one stop at the venue.

Record Conventions This Weekend
There are quite a few record conventions this weekend in Ontario so I thought i’d give you a heads up :
- Kingston, Ontario – The Kingston Record Show will be this Saturday from 10am to 4 pm at the Macgillivray-Brown Hall (218 Barrie St). Free admission.
- Newmarket, Ontario – The Newmarket Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be this Sunday from 10am to 3pm at the Royal Canadian Legion (707 Srigley Street). Only $2 per person to get in.
- Toronto, Ontario – The Flipside DJ and Vintage Record Show will be held at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen street West) from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $5 per person.
- Windsor, Ontario – The Windsor Record Show will be this Sunday from 11am to 4pm at Villains Bistro (246 Pelissier Ave). Admission is $4 per person.
