Five Record Conventions & More
There will be three major record conventions, in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto this weekend, along with smaller events in Sarnia and Bowmanville, and a comic convention in Whitby.
The Montreal Plateau Record Show will again be held at the Église St Denis, which is located next to the north entrance of the Laurier Metro Station, from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, the 19th of October, 2024.
Admission is $5 or $10 for early entry at 9AM. And the Laurier Station is on Line 2 – Orange.

The Calgary Record Collectors Show will be hosted by at the Acadia Recreation Complex on Sunday, the 20th of October, from 11am to 4pm.
Admission is $5 or $10 for Early Admission at 9:30am. And the nearest bus stop to the venue is 6447, which is serviced by Route 99 from the Heritage LRT station on Calgary Transit.

The Toronto Downtown Record Show will be at the Tranzac Club from Noon to 4pm, also on Sunday, the 20th of October. And admission will be $7 or $20 for early admission at 10AM.
The venue is a 5 minute walk from the Spadina subway station but there are bus stops near the venue, numbers 498 and 499, which are serviced by Route 127 on the TTC.

The Sarnia Record Show will also be held on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 at The Royal Canadian Legion from 10am to 3pm and admission will be a $2 donation to the Legion.
The venue is a five minute walk from the Bayside Terminal, which is primarily serviced by Sarnia Transit and Intercity transit services of Strathroy-Caradox Transit and Flixbus.

The Bowmanvillle CD and Record Show will again be held at the Bowmanville Memorial Park Club House, also this Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
This is a free event and the nearest bus stop is a 13 minute walk away on Prince Street at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville facility – Bus Stop 1499 is serviced by Route 902 on Durham Region Transit.

And finally, the Whitby Comicon will be held on Sunday, the 20th of October 2024 from 10am to 3pm at the Haydenshore Pavilion. And admission to this event is $5 or free for kids 12 and under.
Unfortunately, there is no transit service in the venue’s general area, although The Whitby Go Station is a seven minute drive away if you want to use a taxi or ride service. And it’s a 10 minute bike ride away down Byron Street (via the Go station pedestrian bridge), Charles Street and the Waterfront Trail.

Two Comicons This Weekend
Montreal’s largest communion convention, Otakuthon, will occur from the 2nd to 4th of August, 2024 at the Palais Des Congrès de Montréal.
Admission is obtained onsite (click for details here) and this venue has its own Metro Station, Station Place-d’Armes, whose Level 1 entrance has an ATM.

The Sudbury Comicon will be held on Saturday the 3rd of August 2024 at the Northbury Hotel & Conference Center from 10am to 4pm.
Admission will be $5 and free for kids 12 and under. And a trip planner exists on the city’s official transit website.

Lots of Events This Weekend

The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo will be at Stampede Park from the 25th to 28th of April, 2024 and will feature memorabilia from film, television and music.

The Hamilton Record Show will occur at Bridgeworks this Saturday, the 27th of April 2024 from 10:30am to 4pm.
Early admission from 9am will be $20 but General Admission will be $5. And the venue is a six mute walk through Central Park from bus stop number 2977 at the corner of Cannon and Hess or an 11 minute walk away from the West Harbour Go Station.

The Markham Comicon will be hosted by Thornhill Community Centre from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, April 27th, 2024.

The Foire Aux Vinyles Sur Plateau Record Show, also known as the Montreal Plateau Record Show, will be held at the Église St Denis from 10am to 4pm, also on Saturday, April 27th, 2024.
Admission will be $5 or $15 for early entry from 9am to 10am. And the venue is conveniently placed next to the north entrance of the Laurier Metro Station, which is next door from entrance to the fair at 5075 rue Rivard.

Also this Saturday, the Toronto Downtown Record Show will be hosted by the Tranzac Club, in the Main Hall from Noon to 5pm.
General admission will be $7 or $20 for Early admittance. And the venue is a six minute walk from either the Bathurst Metro Station or Spadina Metro Station.

This Sunday, the 28th of 2024, the Bowmanville CD and Record Show will be held at the Bowmanville Memorial Park Clubhouse from 10am to 4pm and admission will be free.
The nearest bus stop to the venue is 1499 with is an 8 minute walk away from the venue and is serviced by Durham Regional Transit, whose site has a trip planner.

The Lindsay Comicon will occur at the Victoria Park Armoury from 10am to 3pm Sunday, the 28th of April, 2024.

The Calgary Music Collectors Show will be held at the Acadia Recreation Complex this Sunday as well, from 11am to 5pm.
Easily admission to the venue from 9:30am to 11AM will be $10 and general admission will be $5. And the nearest bus stops are 6414 and 6447 which is serviced by route 99 on Calgary Transit.

This Weekend’s Events
There will be three record conventions this weekend, one of which will be in the city of Montreal and the remainder will occur in Toronto and the nearby community of Bowmanvillle.
The Foire Aux Vinyles Sur Le Plateau will be hosted at the Saint-Denis Catholic Church next to the Laurier Metro Station in Montreal from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, the 23rd of September 2023.
Admission will be $5 (or $15 for early entry at 9am). And as previously stipulated, it is on the doorstep of a Metro Station.

The Toronto-Mississauga Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will be on the next day, on Sunday the 24th of September 2023, at the Etobicoke Olympium (590 Rathburn Rd, Etobicoke) from 10am to 3pm.
Admission will be $5 and the nearest bus stops,#1477 and #1493, face the venue. Consult the TTC for further details on public transit in the area.

The Bowmanville Record and CD Show will also be occurring that Sunday but from 10am to 4pm at the Memorial Park Clubhouse at 120 Liberty South in Bowmanville.
