Lots of Events!

There will be multiple record conventions in Ontario (with one in Montreal) and comicons through-out Canada this weekend, one of which is starting today in Calgary.

The Calgary Expo is a four day convention that will be held at the Stampede Park starting today and ending Sunday night. And “The Hobbits” will be in attendance.

Admission information can be found by clicking here and the venue is serviced by the Victoria Park / Stampede Light Rail Station on Calgary Transit.

The Cornwall & Area Pop Event will be hosted by the Benson Center on Saturday, the 25th of April and Sunday, the 26th of April, 2026. And tickets will be $18 on Saturday, $12 on Sunday and kids 12 and under get in free on both days when accompanied by a paying adult.

The venue has its own bus stop, which is serviced by Route 3 on Cornwall Transit and a free shuttle service to this venue will be made available by this municipal transit service on Sunday, as detailed on this page on the official event web site.

The Foire Aux Vinyles Plateau, a.k.a Montreal Plateau Record Show, will again be held at the Église Saint-Denis on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. And this venue is conveniently located next to the Laurier entrance/exit (Édicule B) of the Laurier Metro Station on the Orange line of the Montreal Metro operated by the STM.

Admission to this event is $5 from 10am to 5pm or $15 for early entry at 9am.

The Galaxy Sarnia Record Show will be hosted by The Moose Lodge on, Saturday, the 25th of April, 2026 from 10am to 4pm and admission will be a donation to the venue itself.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are located at the nearby corner of Confederation Street and Phillip Street East, which are service by Route 1 on Sarnia Transit.

The Capital Comic Book Convention will again be held at the RA Center on Sunday, April 26th, 2026 from 11am to 4pm and general admission will be $8 or $10 for early VIP entry at 10am, with kids under 12 getting in for free.

The nearest bus stops to the venue, bus stop numbers 1152 and 1567, are on the Transitway and are therefore serviced by multiple routes on OC Transpo.

The Stratford Vinyl Sale & Record Show will be hosted by the Army Navy & Air Force Veterans Hall from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, the 26th of April, 2026 and admission will be a donation to the Stratford Perth Humane Society.

On demand service is provided to the venue on Sundays by Stratford Transit and the venue is a four minute taxi drive from the Via Rail Station.

The Peterborough Record & CD Show is a free event that will occur from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, the 26th of April, 2026 at the Peterborough Legion.

The venue is serviced by Routes 6 and 7 on Peterborough Transit from multiple bus stops at the corner of Spillsbury Drive and Landsdowne St. W.

And last but not least, the Toronto Downtown Record Show will again be held at the Tranzac Club, from 12 to 4pm on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, and general admission will be $7 or $20 for early entry at 10am.

The venue is located a five minute walk from the Spadina subway station on the TTC.

Steves Music Store Restructuring


Steve’s Music Store just recently celebrated their 60th anniversary and moved their Ottawa store from their downtown location to Catherine street. And unfortunately it appears that all but their Montreal store and online operations will be continuing because of the retail slump caused by the pandemic and trade issues with the states.

Multiple Collector Events This Weekend

There will be one record conventions, two minor record collector events and three comicons this weekend, most of which will be in Ontario.

The Holiday Edition of the Niagara Falls Comicon will again be held at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, this time from 11am to 6pm on Saturday, December 6th, 2025.

The Toronto-Leaside Vinyl Record, CD & Collectibles Show will be hosted by the Leaside Memorial Community Gardens on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are numbers 7980 and 7981, which are serviced by Route 88 on the TTC from Eglinton Station. The venue is also serviced by Route 56 from the Donlands Station via stop numbers 5136 and 15671 on nearby Laird Drive. And that route also goes to Eglinton Station.

The Music Fair at Foil Gallery in Montreal, Quebec will also be held on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 but from 10am to 5pm and admission will be free.

The venue is serviced by multiple routes from the De Castelnau Metro Station via stop numbers 51411 and 51440.

The Awesome Toy Show will be held from noon to 4pm at the Courtyard Merriott Toronto/Mississauga West on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

The nearest bus stop to the venue is number 2396, which is serviced by multiple routes on Miway and Brampton Transit.

The BRING OUT YOUR DEAD! Vinyl Sale & Swap will be held at the Alley Cat Brewery in from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday, the 7th of December, 2025 and admission will be free.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are numbers 2671 and 2832, which are serviced by Route 523 on Edmonton Transit.

Record Conventions Galore!

There will be multiple record conventions and one comicons this weekend, in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec:

The Vinyl in the Valley Collector Show will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at the Vernon Elks Lodge from 10am to 3pm and admission is $5 or $10 for early entry at 9am.

The venue is located next to the Downtown Exchange for public transit, where multiple routes on the Vernon Regional Transit converge.

The Collingwood Comicon will also be held on Saturday, the 18th of October, 2025 from 10am to 3pm. But it will be hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 63 and admission will be $5 or free for kids 12 and under.

The venue has two bus stops, 243 and 420, which is serviced by the Crosstown route on Collingwood Transit – This is an On Demand service on weekends.

The Foire Au Vinyles Plateau Record Show will again be held at the Église Saint-Denis on Saturday, the 18th of October, from 10am to 4pm, and admission will be $5 to $10 for early entry at 9am.

The venue, whose entry is at 5075 rue Rivard, is conveniently located next to the Édicule B entrance/exit of the Laurier Metro Station.

The Boogie Record Fair and Market will be held at Boogie on Queen on Sunday, the 19th of October, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm. And admission will be free.

This venue is serviced by multiple trams and busses on the TTC from stop numbers 6838 and 15348.

The Calgary Music Collectors Show will again be hosted by the Acadia Recreation Complex, this time on Sunday, the 19th of October, 2025 from 11am to 4pm, and admission will be $5 or 10 for early admission at 9:30am.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are 6414 and 6447, and these are serviced by Route 99 on Calgary Transit.

The Bowmanvillle CD and Record Show will be held at the event’s regular venue, the Bowmanville Memorial Park Club House, from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, and admission will be free.

This venue is now now only being serviced by Bus Stop 100157, which is a 12 minute walk away from the venue, but by on demand services at Durham Regional Transit. And Go Transit also now operates from that stop.

The Newmarket Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show will also be held on Sunday, the 19th of October 2025, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 426 from 10am to 3pm and admission will be $5.

The nearest York Regional Transit bus stops, 2060 and 2075, which are a six unite walk away, are serviced by Route 056.

The Sarnia Record Show will again be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, this time from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, October 19th, 2025 and admission will be a Toonie donation to the Legion.

The venue is a six minute walk away from the Bayside Terminal, which is serviced by multiple major routes on Sarnia Transit, as well as Strathroy-Caradoc Inter-Community Transit and Flixbus.

A major record sale will be occurring at the Kingston Symphony Warehouse this weekend as well, starting on the Tuesday, the 16th of October, 2025.

They will be selling vinyl, cds, DVDs and turntables, including some rarer items in the Platinum Lounge. But it is at a rather out of the way location, the nearest bus stops being a 15 minute walk away on Princess Drive; These are serviced by Route 4 and Route 11 on Kingston Transit and you should note that Route 11 terminates at the Via Rail station.

This Weekend’s Events

The weekend long Montreal Comicon will be held from July 4th to July 6th, 2025 at the Palais De Congres.

Admission information can be found by clicking here and the venue is serviced by the Place d’Armes Metro Station.

The second annual West Shore Vinyl Plus Record Fair will be hosted by the Langford Legion from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, the 6th of July, 2025 and admission will be $2.

The venue is a five minute walk away from the Langford Exchange, which is also on Station Road, and multiple BC Transit bus routes operate out of this station.

The Bring Out Your Dead! Vinyl Sale & Swap will also be held this Sunday, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Black Dog Freehouse and I believe this is a free event.

This 82nd street venue is serviced by multiple routes on Edmonton Transit, some from the Health Sciences Jubilee Station (Routes 004 & 726), and it is also a 7 minute walk from the Whyte Ave Terminal of the High Level Bridge Streetcar.

This Weekend’s Events.

There will be a record convention, two collectibles events and a two day comic book arts festival this weekend, primarily in the Golden Horseshoe of the province of Ontario (update – additional event added).

The St. Catharines Record Show will be held on Sunday, the 8th of June at the Grantham Optimist Youth Center from 10am to 4pm and admission will be $5.

The nearest bus stops to the venue are 303 and 306, both of which are serviced by Route 417 on Niagara Transit.

The Burlington Collector’s Con will be hosted by the Holiday Inn Burlington Conference Centre on Sunday, June 8th 2025 as well, from 10am to 4pm.

Admission information is available by clicking here. And the nearest bus stops to the venue are 177 and 3027, which are serviced by Route 80 from the Burlington Go Station on Burlington Transit.

And the two day Toronto Comic Arts Festival will be held on Saturday the 7th of June, 2025 and Sunday the 8th of June, 2025 at the Mattamy Athletic Center, with free admission.

The venue is serviced by Street Car Route 506 at stops numbers 751 and 752 and alternatively is also a three minute walk from College Station.

Outside of the Golden Horseshoe, a major collectibles event will be occurring near Montreal, in Kahnawake:

The KTown Collectibles Expo will be hosted by Mohawk Bingo on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, from 10am to 5pm, and admission will be $5 or free for kids 10 and under.

The venue is serviced by multiple bus routes on Exo via bus stop numbers 78606 and 78275, many of which are accessible from the Angrignon Metro Station.
